For those who want better opposition and partners, upgrades in GIB are good. But a second use of the bots is to fill in tables for social bridge play. I often play and have fun with old friends who, like me, have been more or less able to hold their own against bots of yore, but are having a hard time with the upgraded versions. Since there seems to be no objection to having basic and advanced bot categories, how about offering a 'legacy' bot option for those who like what they are accustomed to and have no great desire to put extra effort into their pastime.
